1 c. sugar
1 c. oil (canola or vegetable)
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. lemon extract
2 Tbsp. anise seed
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of cinnamon

May leave out anise seed or for more anise taste, add anise extract.
