Old Fashioned Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. ginger
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 beaten egg
Preparation

Sift all dry ingredients together.
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy, then add molasses and beaten egg.
Add dry ingredients gradually, mixing well.
Form dough into small balls. Roll in additional sugar.
Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 8 dozen.
