Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    3 4 oz. cans chopped green chilies
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 can pinto beans
    1 can Ranch style beans
    1 can kidney beans
    1 14 1/2 oz. can hominy or corn
    3 14 1/2 oz. cans stewed tomatoes
    1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
    1 pkg. Ranch dressing mix
    1 1/2 c. water
    shredded cheese, optional
    tortilla chips, optional
Preparation
    In large Dutch oven, brown meat and onion.
    Add all remaining ingredients, except for the last two.
    Bring to a boil, reduce and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Top with cheese and serve with chips. Freezes well.
