Hilda Taylor'S Old Fashioned Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. pink pinto beans
salt
pepper
1/4 lb. bacon or salt pork
Preparation

Clean and separate beans carefully.
Soak overnight or at least 5 to 6 hours.
Drain off water.
Cover with clean water and cook slowly for 3 to 4 hours in covered 3-quart pot.
Add bacon or salt pork in last hour.
May add any other spices as you desire or onions, carrots, etc., to change flavor.
Serve with cornbread or cheese biscuits.
