Jello Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed undrained pineapple
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) box orange flavored Jell-O
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
    1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Combine pineapple and sugar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Stir slowly. Remove pan from heat.
    Add Jell-O; stir until dissolved.
    Cool until thick.
    Add buttermilk.
    Stir.
    Fold in Cool Whip and nuts. Pour into 12 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Chill until firm.
    Cut into serving pieces.
