No Cook Mint Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 tsp. peppermint extract
    1 lb. confectioners sugar (or 4 3/4 c. sifted)
    1 drop red or green food coloring
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Blend corn syrup, butter and salt.
    Add sugar.
    Mix with spoon and hands until smooth.
    Divide into thirds.
    Knead red food color into 1/3 mixture, green food color into 1/3 mixture and leave 1/3 mixture white.
    Shape into 1-inch balls.
    Flatten with fork on wax paper.
    Let dry several hours.
