Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce, shredded
1 green pepper, diced
5 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
1 c. low-fat yogurt or 1 c. low-fat cottage cheese, blended or 1 c. any creamy, low-fat salad dressing
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated
2 Tbsp. imitation bacon bits
2 tomatoes, wedged
Preparation

Put shredded lettuce in a bowl.
Layer diced green pepper, chopped celery, chopped onion and peas on top of lettuce.
Spread yogurt completely over the top of the salad.
Sprinkle with sugar, Parmesan cheese and bacon bits.
Garnish with tomato wedges. Cover tightly and chill, preferably overnight.
Toss thoroughly before serving.
Serves 10.
