Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. molasses
1 egg, beaten
1 c. hot water
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients, except sugar.
Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Add egg and molasses to butter; blend.
Stir into dry ingredients.
Pour hot water in.
Beat until smooth.
Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
