Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    14 c. sliced cucumbers
    1 c. sliced onions
    4 c. sugar or sugar substitute
    2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. dry mustard
    2 tsp. alum
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Place cucumbers and onions in 2 tablespoons salt.
    Let stand for 3 hours.
    Drain well.
    Pack pickles and onions in a large jar. Pour liquid over pickles and refrigerate.
