One Dish Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. elbow macaroni
    1 onion, sliced
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 lb. hamburger meat
    1 c. grated cheese
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. cooked tomatoes or 1 can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Cook macaroni in boiling salt water until tender; drain.
    Fry onion in hot shortening until yellow.
    Add meat, salt and pepper. Brown and then drain.
    Add tomatoes, cheese and macaroni.
    Mix well.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    Serves 6.
