Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or oleo
18 oz. chocolate chips
2 c. chopped nuts
3 Tbsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 can evaporated milk
Preparation

Mix in bowl the butter, chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with waxed paper.
Combine in heavy pan the sugar and milk.
Bring to a rolling boil and boil for exactly 6 minutes.
(Start timing when mixture comes to a rolling boil.) Pour over ingredients in bowl.
Mix well until chips are dissolved.
Pour into pan and chill.
