Frozen Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    dash of salt
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 medium chopped red apples
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; reserve juice.
    In a saucepan, combine juice with sugar, eggs and salt.
    Cook, stirring until slightly thickened.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool.
    Stir in pineapple, celery, apples and pecans.
    Fold in whipped cream.
    Pour into 9-inch square pan.
    Cover and freeze.
    Let stand at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes.
    Cut into squares or serve on a lettuce leaf.
