Chicken Fricassee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 1/2 lb. or larger) fryer, cut up
    1/2 c. flour, seasoned
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
Preparation
    Coat chicken with a mixture of the flour to which you have added a teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
    Then brown chicken pieces in the hot shortening.
    Remove chicken pieces to a 3-quart casserole.
    Cook celery and onions in skillet until tender but not brown.
    Drain off excess fat; stir in soup, pimento and 3/4 cup water.
    Pour over chicken in casserole.
    Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 until tender.
    This takes about one hour.
