Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. apple cider
    3/4 to 1 c. ReaLemon juice from concentrate
    1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    8 whole cloves
    2 cinnamon sticks
    3/4 c. rum (optional)
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except rum and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat.
    Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes to blend flavors.
    Remove spices and add rum just before serving, if desired.
    Serve hot.
    Garnish with additional cinnamon sticks if desired.
