Asparagus Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. asparagus, cooked just until tender and drained
    1 tsp. tarragon leaves
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    black pepper (fresh ground)
    Italian dressing
    1/2 c. tarragon vinegar
Preparation
    Layer asparagus in a shallow pan.
    Sprinkle each layer with a few dry tarragon leaves, salt and pepper.
    Add salad dressing and vinegar; marinate overnight at room temperature.
    Drain and serve on lettuce leaves and top with mayonnaise flavored with a little of the marinade.
