Chef Tell'S Bread Pudding(Makes 6 To 8 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 slices stale bread
    2 to 3 tart apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced crosswise
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    raisins to taste
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Pack about half the dry bread slices in bottom of buttered and sugared deep baking dish.
    Add about half the apple slices. Sprinkle with raisins.
    Add more bread slices, more apple slices and raisins.
    Add custard mixture by pouring over the mixture (mix about 1 teaspoon cinnamon in custard mixture).
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven until slightly browned on top and custard is \"set\" (approximately 45 to 60 minutes).
