Surprise Meatball Kabobs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 egg, beaten
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    12 large pitted ripe olives
    8 slices zucchini or yellow squash, sliced 1/2-inch thick
    1/4 c. barbecue sauce
    4 cherry tomatoes
Preparation
    Soak four 8-inch bamboo skewers in water 10 minutes. Meanwhile combine the ground beef, egg, chili powder, garlic salt and oregano.
    Mix lightly but thoroughly.
    Divide mixture into 12 equal portions.
    Form each portion around a ripe olive.
    Thread 3 meatballs alternately with 2 zucchini pieces on each skewer. Lightly greased unheated grid.
    Place meatballs kabobs on grid over medium-low coals. Grill 12 to 15 minutes until done, turning and brushing with barbecue sauce occasionally. Add a cherry tomato to the end of each skewer after cooking.
    Yields 4 kabobs.
