Yeast Rise Dumplings(From The Kitchen Of Lola Zahn) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onions
    1 beaten egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve 1 package yeast in water.
    Stir in sugar, salt, shortening, parsley, onions and egg.
    Add flour.
    Stir.
    Let rise until double in size.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto gently boiling stew. Allow batter to rest on meat and vegetables.
    Cover tightly and steam 20 minutes.
    Do not lift lid.
