Low-Fat Fettuccine Alfredo - cooking recipe

1 c. low-fat cottage cheese
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/4 c. low-fat milk
1/4 c. egg substitute
1 clove garlic, pressed
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. fettuccine
1/4 c. fresh basil
Preparation

Bring water to a boil.
Cook fettuccine according to package directions.
Drain and put back into a hot pan.
In a food processor, process the cottage cheese until very smooth.
Add Parmesan cheese, milk, egg substitute, garlic, pepper, nutmeg and salt.
Process until very smooth.
Add cheese sauce to pasta and place pan over medium heat.
Cook 1 minute, stirring.
