Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c milk
3 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flaked coconut
1 baked pie shell
1 c. sugar
Preparation

In saucepan, combine 3/4 cup sugar, flour and salt.
Gradually add milk, mix well.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils.
Cook 2 minutes longer.
Remove from heat. Stir a small amount of hot mixture into beaten egg yolks then return to hot mixture.
Cook 2 minutes more, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Add butter, vanilla and coconut.
Pour into pie shell.
