Kincaid Mcclellan'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown or white sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. soda
1 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. hot applesauce
2 c. flour
2 eggs

Preparation

Cream butter
and
sugar; beat in eggs.
Add flour with spices sifted together, alternately with applesauce, with soda stirred in.
Add raisins and put in 9 x 9-inch pan and bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
May add 1/2 cup nuts.
