Yummy Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium potatoes
    1 bay leaf
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/4 c. melted margarine
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    1 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
    1 finely chopped small onion
    2 c. grated cheese, divided
    1 1/2 c. crushed potato chips
Preparation
    Cook the potatoes in salted water with a bay leaf.
    When cold, peel and grate coarsely.
    Put potatoes in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Mix together the soup, melted margarine, sour cream, salt, pepper, onion and 1 1/2 cups grated cheese and pour over potatoes. Cover; bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Sprinkle top with 1/2 cup grated cheese and the crushed potato chips.
    Bake a few minutes more.
