Barb'S Quick Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 c. cream of chicken soup
    1 c. sour cream
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, diced
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. corn flakes
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    2 lb. fresh green beans (regular or Kentucky Wonders)
    3 to 4 smoked ham hocks or smoked turkey wings, precut into small pieces
    2 Tbsp. pan drippings (optional)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    water (enough to cover the beans and ham hocks in a large pot)
Preparation
    Rinse off ham hocks and place in a large pot (5-quart size). Cook ham hocks until tender.
    Add the green beans and add more water, if necessary.
    Add the salt, pepper and bacon drippings. Continue to cook until the beans are tender.
