Ingredients

4 eggs
2/3 c. orange juice
1/3 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 loaf Italian bread, cut in 1-inch slices
1/3 c. melted butter
grated orange peel to taste
3/4 c. pecan pieces
Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients in blender.
Place bread, edges touching, single layer in 9 x 13 baking dish.
Pour liquid mixture.
Place in refrigerator overnight.
When ready to cook, pour melted butter evenly over slices.
Sprinkle evenly with orange peel and pecans.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven until golden, about 20 to 25 minutes.
