Creamy Creole Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. dark or light brown sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. Karo
    4 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Put all the ingredients, except pecans, in 3-quart saucepan and cook for 20 minutes. After it has come to a boil, stir occasionally. Add the pecans and cook mixture until the liquid forms a soft ball when dropped into cold water. Stir well. Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper. Place a few sheets of newspaper underneath the wax paper.
