Schnitzel Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. string beans (fresh or canned)
4 slices bacon
3 medium onions, sliced
2 c. tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. hot water
Preparation

Dice bacon and fry crisp.
Slice onions and fry until soft. Cut the beans into small (1-inch) pieces and brown them slightly with the bacon and onions.
Add the tomatoes, seasoning and boiling water.
Cover and cook slowly until beans are tender.
Add water if necessary so there will be a little sauce to serve with beans.
