Magic Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. None Such mincemeat
1 1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 c. (13 oz.) Eagle Brand milk
2 c. (1 lb. jar) candied fruit and peels
1 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
Preparation

Break mincemeat into chunks in a medium size saucepan; add water.
Stir over medium heat until lumps are broken up.
Boil 1 minute; stir occasionally.
Cool.
Butter a 9-inch tube pan or spring pan.
Line with wax paper and butter again.
Sift flour and baking soda.
Combine eggs, mincemeat, condensed milk, fruit and nuts.
Fold in dry ingredients.
Pour in pan; bake slow at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours plus, until center springs back when lightly touched with finger and top is golden brown.
Turn out of pan.
Remove paper. For a richer cake, use two packages of mincemeat quantities of water and other ingredients stay the same.
It makes a big cake and so-so-so good.
