Dolly Favorite Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs, separated
2/3 c. sugar
2 heaping tsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg (optional)
1 qt. milk
Preparation

Cream egg yolks with sugar and whip until smooth.
Add flour and mix well.
Scald milk and when hot enough, add the cream mixture.
Stir constantly, 20 to 25 minutes until it thickens. Remove heat and add vanilla.
Boil some water.
Whip egg whites and add to boiling water until hardened.
Remove with spatula and put on top of cream mixture.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Chill.
