Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. brown sugar
    2 sticks cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    2 qt. cider
    6 orange slices
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in pot.
    If desired, tie whole spices in cheesecloth or put in tea strainer.
    Cover and set on high for 1 hour, then turn to low for 2 to 8 hours.
    Serve from pot with ladle.
