Chinese Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. broken walnuts
    3 well beaten eggs
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Stir in dates, walnuts and eggs.
    Pour into greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) about 15 minutes.
    While warm, cut into bars.
    Cool, remove from pan and roll in sifted confectioners sugar.
    Makes 3 dozen.
