Hamburger Stew(My Grandchildren Like This Stew.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hamburger
    1 onion, chopped
    5 potatoes, diced
    3/4 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 carrot, diced
    1/4 head cabbage, cut in small pieces
    1 1/2 c. tomato soup
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 lb. soup meat with bone
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1 onion, chopped
    1 qt. tomatoes
    2 c. green beans
    1/4 c. parsley flakes
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. barley
    2 c. diced carrots
    2 c. diced celery
    1/2 head cabbage, cut up
    2 c. whole kernel corn
    1 c. peas
    2 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
    1 gal. or more water
Preparation
    In a large kettle, boil the meat in a gallon of water (add more if needed) until tender.
    Add all of the other ingredients, except the barley.
    Boil 45 minutes, then add barley.
    Stir often and cook 30 minutes more.
    Remove bone before serving.
    Serve with crackers.
    You can freeze this soup in containers, if desired. Serves 12 to 20 people.
