Double Boiler Frosting(Seven-Minute Frosting) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. cold water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 egg whites
Preparation
    Mix ingredients with beater for 1 minute in top of double boiler.
    Place over boiling water.
    Beat with egg beater about 7 minutes or until thick.
    Remove from heat; add flavoring. Continue to beat until almost cold or until it holds its shape. Frost cake or cookies.
