Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    5 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda (baking)
    1 c. Crisco
    melted butter
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar.
    Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse meal. Stir in yeast and buttermilk.
    Mix well and turn onto floured surface.
    Knead 1 to 2 minutes.
    Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut out.
    Place on lightly greased sheet.
    Brush with melted butter. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Brush again with butter after removal.
    Makes 2 dozen.
