Baked Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. olive oil
    2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
    1 medium onion, grated
    1/2 to 1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1/8 tsp. dried basil
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    4 Tbsp. butter or as needed
    1/2 c. coarse, homemade bread crumbs
    1 Tbsp. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Combine oil, vinegar, onion, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper. Add mushrooms and, basting frequently, marinate for 3 hours.
    Drain and saute in butter over high heat for 1 minute.
    Reduce heat to low; cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Transfer to a buttered baking dish; sprinkle bread crumbs and cheese over mushrooms.
    Broil until top is browned.
    Serve as a first course or vegetable accompaniment to meat or fowl.
    Serves 4 to 6.
