Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (46 oz.) cans sweetened orange juice
    4 cans fresh lemon juice (2 doz. lemons)
    6 c. sugar syrup (2 c. sugar dissolved in 6 c. water)
    1 c. strong tea (5 tea bags)
    2 large bottles ginger ale
    2 large bottles sparkling soda (club soda)
    1 qt. or more orange sherbet (optional)
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients together.
    Just before serving, add ginger ale and sparkling water and stir gently in large glass jar or bottle.
    Pour over large block of ice in punch bowl and spoon sherbet over top.
    Makes 110 punch cups.
