Lemon Tea Bread - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
grated rind of 1 lemon
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Lemon Glaze
Preparation

Beat shortening at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy; gradually add sugar, beating well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
