Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter
    5 eggs
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. jam
    1 tsp. soda
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. cloves, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and ginger
    1 jigger good wine (blackberry best)
Preparation
    Mix and add ingredients as given.
    (Dry ingredients should be sifted together.)
    Bake in large tube pan about 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
    (May not need to bake quite that long.) When cool, cover with caramel icing.
