Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    8 Tbsp. shortening
    2/3 c. milk
    2 large eggs
    1/3 c. milk
    1/2 c. nuts (save some nuts for icing)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add shortening.
    Add 2/3 cup milk and mix well.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Add 1/3 cup milk and mix well.
    Add nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Makes two 9-inch pans.
