Mushroom London Broil - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. round steak
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. margarine
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
Preparation

Cut both sides of steak into a diamond pattern 1/8-inch deep. Cook and stir onions and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in margarine until onions are tender.
Keep warm.
Mix remaining ingredients, except mushrooms.
Brush half of mixture on the steak.
Set oven to broil or 550\u00b0.
Broil beef with top 2 to 3 inches from heat until brown, about 5 minutes.
Turn meat over, brush on remaining mixture and top with mushrooms.
Broil 5 minutes longer.
Remove from oven and add onions.
Makes 4 servings.
