Pork Chop Skillet - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. catsup
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. grated onion
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of Tabasco sauce
4 lean (1-inch thick) pork chops
1 Tbsp. shortening
2 large sweet potatoes
1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
16 prunes
16 cloves
Preparation

Blend lemon juice, catsup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and Tabasco sauce.
Pour over pork chops.
Let stand 1 hour. Drain sauce and the chops and brown lightly in the shortening. Watch closely not to scorch.
Pare and half the potatoes.
Blend the catsup mixture with water to cover.
Pour over pork chops, potatoes and prunes.
Sprinkle brown sugar over all.
Cover tightly and cook slowly for 45 minutes.
