Funnel Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. milk
    4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    shortening (for deep-frying)
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Beat
    eggs
    with milk.
    Gradually beat in flour, sugar, salt and baking powder until very smooth.
    Holding the opening of
    a funnel
    closed
    with
    your forefinger, fill funnel with batter. Controlling
    the
    flow
    with your forefinger, dribble the batter into hot oil at 375\u00b0, starting at center of pan and swirling outward
    in
    a
    circle.
    Fry 2 or 3 minutes or until brown.
    Drain on
    absorbing
    paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Makes 2 dozen, depending on size.
