Green Bean Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. French-style green beans
    1/4 c. margarine
    2 Tbsp. minced onions
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
Preparation
    Cook green beans until tender (10 to 15 minutes).
    Melt margarine in a small saucepan.
    Saute onions until lightly brown. Stir in salt and flour.
    Gradually add evaporated milk.
    Cook over medium-high heat until thickened.
    Add cheese and cook until cheese melts.
    Combine cooked green beans and cheese sauce.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Combine bread crumbs and melted margarine; sprinkle over green bean mixture.
    Bake in a moderate 350\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Serve hot.
