Maria'S Homemade Tortillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. white flour
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 to 1 c. shortening
    4 c. warm water
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Cut shortening into mix.
    Add water slowly; pour a little, then stir, pour, then stir.
    Sprinkle in more flour if too sticky.
    You need to have consistency of bread dough.
    Knead 5 minutes.
    Pinch off a large ball.
    Form into large, round biscuit size mound 1/2-inch thick and 2-inches around.
    Continue to make rounds until all dough is used.
    Roll each to form flat pancake.
