Creamed Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. small white onions
    1 tsp. salt
    water
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Cook onions in boiling water 10 to 15 minutes or until tender. Drain.
    Reserve 1/2 cup liquid.
    Place onions in hot serving dish.
    Melt butter or margarine.
    Add flour and seasonings.
    Stir until smooth.
    Add milk and reserved onion liquid gradually.
    Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Pour sauce over onions. Sprinkle with paprika.
    Serves 6.
