Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 green tomatoes
    1 c. flour
    1/4 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Slice green tomatoes 1/4-inch thick.
    Pour boiling water over tomatoes.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Mix sugar, flour and salt.
    Beat egg and milk.
    Dip tomato slices in egg batter, then in flour mixture.
    Fry in oil until golden.
