Brisket - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    brisket
    onion powder
    garlic powder
    paprika
    pepper
    1 pkg. onion soup mix
    1 bottle beer
    1 c. ketchup
    1 can whole cranberries
Preparation
    Cook in large pot with cover.
    Rub meat with a mixture of onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and pepper.
    Mix with cold water to form a paste.
    Sear meat on both sides on a high heat. Add onion soup mix, beer, ketchup and cranberries.
    Lower flame and cook, covered, 2 1/2 hours.
    Slice when almost cooked to let meat absorb gravy.
