Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 ripe bananas
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sour milk (I make sour milk by adding 1 Tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice to the milk)
Preparation

Stir shortening to soften.
Add dry ingredients, 1/4 cup milk and bananas.
Mix until dampened.
Beat 2 minutes.
Add eggs and remaining milk.
Beat 1 minute.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Pour into tube or oblong pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 about 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
