Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. cabbage
    1 qt. green tomatoes
    6 onions
    3 green bell peppers
    3 red bell peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    1/2 gal. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. ground mustard
    3 Tbsp. white mustard seed
    1/2 Tbsp. celery seed
    1/2 Tbsp. cloves, tied in bag
Preparation
    Heat to boiling.
    Add the well drained vegetables and cook slowly
    until tender (about 1/2 hour).
    Pack in hot pint jars. Adjust lids and process in boiling water bath (canner) for 10 minutes.
