Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 qt. popcorn
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. peanuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Keep popcorn warm in a 250\u00b0 oven.
    In a large saucepan, bring to a boil the next 4 ingredients for 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from burner and add the soda (it will foam up).
    Mix and pour quickly over popcorn, coating well.
    Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Let cool and break into pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
