Busy Day Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. onion, chopped
2 T. plus 1/2 c. butter
2 c. sour cream
8 oz. cheddar cheese
2 (10 oz.) cans cream soup
2 c. thinly sliced carrots (frozen carrots may be used and will cut down the cooking time by 40 minutes)
1 (2 lb.) bag frozen cottage-style potatoes
2 1/2 c. finely crushed corn flakes
Paprika
Parsley flakes
Preparation

Brown meat and onion in the 2 tablespoons butter. In saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. Stir in sour cream and soup until blended. Place meat mixture and soup mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Add carrots and then potatoes. Top with cheese and then the corn flakes. Sprinkle on paprika and parsley to taste. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Serves 6-8.
